This procedure explains how agents can submit a cancellation request for an NFIP policy using the Equinox platform. The details below will help to orient and guide the agent through each step of the procedure and give additional resources as needed.

Procedural Steps

1. Access Policy Record

* Log in to the Equinox platform and locate the policy requiring cancellation.
  • Open the policy record and review the current policy details to confirm eligibility for cancellation.

2. Start Cancellation Request

* Navigate to the "Policy Actions" menu and select "Submit Cancellation Request."
  • Enter the cancellation details, including:
 * Reason code
* Effective date of cancellation

3. Attach Supporting Documentation

* Upload any required documentation, such as:
 * NFIP Cancellation/Nullification Request form signed by the policyholder
 * Proof of sale, duplicate coverage, or other applicable evidence
