The Equinox platform is a comprehensive system designed to streamline policy management for agents, underwriters, and claims examiners. This platform integrates various tools and workflows to ensure efficient handling of policies, from issuance to claims processing.

Key Features and Concepts

  • Green Path: An automated issuance process for straightforward policies, requiring minimal intervention.
  • Yellow Path: Tasks requiring underwriter review, including complex endorsements, cancellations, or claims-related actions.
  • Consumer Portal: A tool enabling policyholders to access policy details, make payments, and submit inquiries, supported by agents familiar with its features.

User Roles

  1. Agents:
    • Primary resource for policyholders.
    • Responsibilities include issuing policies, submitting changes, and navigating the consumer portal.
  2. Underwriters:
    • Handle Yellow Path tasks such as reviewing endorsements and processing cancellations.
    • Manage productivity through specialized queues.
  3. Claims Examiners (future content):
    • Oversee claims-related actions and policy referrals due to inconsistencies.

Workspaces

  • Agent Workspace: Features six queues for managing tasks, accessing bulletins, and navigating active policies.
  • Underwriter Workspace: Includes fifteen queues to handle reviews, provisional rates, and productivity tracking.

Policy Record Page

The Policy Record page organizes policy information into five collapsible sections:

  1. Policy Summary
  2. Coverage Details
  3. Billing and Payments
  4. Claims Information
  5. Documents and Activity Log

Procedures and Actions

  • Agent Policy Actions: Procedures for issuing policies, submitting changes, and managing consumer interactions.
  • Underwriter Policy Actions: Handling tasks requiring detailed review and productivity tracking.
