This procedure explains how agents can request a change to the Agent of Record on an NFIP policy through the Equinox platform. A change in the AOR assigns a new agent to the policy while leaving all other policy details intact.
The process requires a signed request from the policyholder. |
Procedural Steps
1. Prepare the Form
Obtain an Agent of Record Change Form; an Acord Form 36 is commonly used.
Fill out the form with the following details:
- Policy number
- New agent information
- Policyholder details
2. Obtain Signatures
Have at least one policyholder sign the AOR Form.
3. Email the Request
Email the signed, completed AOR Form to the NFIP WYO Carrier.
Once it is processed, the agent will have access to the appropriate policy term.
